The invitation

Most of us live a little above the neck.

This is bodywork for coming back down — for the shoulder that has been holding something since March, for the breath that never quite reaches the bottom, for the parts of you that learned, a long time ago, to brace.

Nothing here is done to you. Everything is offered.

Meet Mekayla

I believe every person has the ability to build the life they truly want — sometimes they just need someone to help them find what's missing.

I meet people where they are, listen without judgment, and work alongside them to uncover the link between where they are now and where they want to be.

[ How she came to this work — 2–3 sentences. What she was doing before, and what changed. ]

[ Her training and modalities — what she actually practices. Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial, lymphatic, prenatal, craniosacral, somatic. ]

What trauma-informed means here

  • You will know what is coming before it happens.
  • You can change or stop anything, at any point, without explaining why.
  • You never have to talk. You also never have to be quiet.

Mekayla is a California Certified Massage Therapist (CMT #76710). She practices in a trauma-informed way — she does not diagnose or treat trauma, and bodywork is not a substitute for mental health care.

What a session is like

No surprises. That's the whole design.

  1. Before you arrive

    A short intake form

Sent by text. Two minutes. It means the first ten minutes of your session aren't spent on paperwork.

  2. First ten minutes

    We talk

What's going on in your body, what you want from the hour, and what is off the table. You don't have to produce a reason for being here.

  3. The hour

    The work

Built for you, not run off a menu. Pressure is a conversation, not a setting — it can change at any point, and I'll ask.

  4. Last five minutes

    Coming back slowly

Water, a minute to sit up, and no one hurrying you toward the door.

Sessions

Three lengths. One is probably right for you.

60 minutes

The reset

$150

Focused on one region. Good when you already know where it hurts and you have an hour to give it.

90 minutesMost chosen

The full arc

$210

Time for the whole body, and time to actually drop in before the work begins. If this is your first session, start here.

120 minutes

The long form

$270

Slow and unhurried, nothing left out. For deep holding patterns, or for the day you need the day.

Prices above are placeholders — swap in Mekayla's real rates. Packages and returning-client rates can go here too.

Where

Sessions are offered in-studio, and for some clients, in your own home.

[ Confirm which — and if in-home, the travel radius and any setup she needs from the client. ]

Serving

In their words

“I didn't realize how much I'd been bracing until she asked before every single thing.”

Sample testimonial · replace with a real client

“I have never once felt like I was on a clock, or like I was being worked on rather than worked with.”

Sample testimonial · replace with a real client

“I'd stopped booking massages years ago because they always felt like something I had to get through. This is the first one I've rebooked.”

Questions

The ones people are too polite to ask.

Do I have to undress?
You undress to your own comfort, including not at all. You are draped the entire time, and only the area being worked on is uncovered.
What if I cry?
It happens more often than you'd think, and it's welcome. Nothing about the session changes unless you want it to.
I've had a bad experience with bodywork before.
Then tell me that first, and we'll go slower. We can start clothed, stay on one area, or spend the first session doing very little. You set every boundary and I won't test them.
Is this deep tissue, or is it gentle?
It can be either. Pressure is chosen together at the start and can change at any point in the session — just say so.
What's the cancellation policy?
[ Confirm — 24 hours is standard. ]
